One of the most popular topics from our Facebook and Twitter streams over the last couple of days is a recent plea by Mark Donne of The Huffington Post that women everywhere boycott Topshop. It speaks of ‘dirty, dangerous and appalling conditions’ for garment workers, scheming owners and downright dirty tax evasion. It’s with a heavy heart that I read this piece because the thing is, deep, deep down I love shopping at Topshop. It makes me feel uber-cool. But at what price? Donne closed his post with this statement: ‘Cheap style for one woman should not mean degraded life for another, and until Topshop seriously accept that ethical behaviour and style go hand in hand, they should be out of fashion.’ [click to read more…]

Happy New Year! What has 2012 got in store for you? We’re so excited about projects, events and challenges that we hope that you can join us in.
